Meowt of this World

“Meowt of this World” is a 9x6 linocut print. In this piece, a UFO descends upon a night sky to abduct an unsuspecting cat. In this piece, I used printmaking to explore the supernatural and a fascination with the unknown. It invites viewers to consider the extraordinary hidden in the ordinary, where even the most mundane scenes can become a canvas for imagination. This print allowed me to experiment with printmaking using unconventional materials due to the limitations of the linoleum. I tested various methods for successful prints, including a spray paint can, a baking roller, and even my own body. “Meowt of this World” invites you to find the extraordinary in everyday moments and sparks curiosity about the universe’s mysteries in our backyards.”
